Uruks
Uruk Captains oversee Sauron's Army. They enforce construction and demolition projects, craft battle plans, and administer discipline to their underlings. Their hierarchy is combative; Captains win their place by slaughtering those above them, and keep power by destroying underlings who might oppose them. This ensures endless competition among the Uruks, and winning the rank of Captain means an Uruk is one of the strongest, deadliest, and most devious of their kind.

Caragors
The common Caragor is vicious, disgusting, and a relentless killing machine. It is native to Mordor and the realm's top predator. Their powerful legs make them excellent sprinters and fair climbers. Their jaws are powerful enough to snap through bones and cut through all manner of armor.

Graugs
The Graug is a beast of destruction. These behemoths grow to fifteen-feet tall or more, and their skin grows tough and leathery, making them extremely resistant to all manner of arrows, bolts, and bladed or blunt weapons. They're feral beasts, naturally combative, highly territorial, and ill-mannered.
Locations

Mordor
A land of shadow and the home of the Second Dark Lord of Middle-earth, Sauron, Mordor beckons to spirits and calls dark things to its twisted heart. It is home to many monstrous creatures, among them Caragors, Graugs; monsters neither the Uruks nor their Dark Lord have tamed. Its burning heart, Mount Doom currently lays dormant.

Udûn
The valley of Udûn is a harsh and unaccommodating land used primarily as a way-station for armies with ambitions to breach Mordor or attack from it. The sprawling land was once populated by Gondorian Outcasts but is now commanded by the Uruks.

Sea of Núrnen
Atypical for Mordor, the Sea of Núrnen lies hundreds of miles deep past its borders and is a lush, green landscape that Sauron is using to feed his growing war machine. Subjugated slaves are tilling the fields and fishing the sea to keep the Uruk hordes fed.

Fight through Mordor and uncover the truth of the spirit that compels you, discover the origins of the Rings of Power, build your legend and ultimately confront the evil of Sauron in this new chronicle of Middle-earth.

I could rant and rave about this game for hours. It seems like WB Games and Monolith came together in sweet harmony and created a game that seamlessly integrates everything you'll love about an open world with a great story and meaningful RPG progression. You are well rewarded for going after tougher enemies. The nemesis system works better than I thought possible. So far, the LOTR lore is spot on and Uruk society is just as you would expect.
The introduction/prologue ties in perfectly with the campaign and teaches you how to play without feeling like a meaningless tutorial. I felt connected with the characters almost immediately which makes their murders gut wrenching even though you know it's going to happen.
Combat difficulty is adjustable so if you feel like the game is giving you too much of an advantage (by telling you when you can block an incoming strike) you can turn off combat prompts.
Over all, I'd give this game a 98/100. There were a couple of graphical glitches that were more funny than anything; they did not affect gameplay at all. This is my Game of the Year for sure.

I'm a big Lord of the Rings / Tolkien fan, so I have very high expectations when it comes to "Lord of the Rings" products and this game does not disappoint. Infact this game far surpasses my expectations.

There have been rumors going around for awhile that the PC version was going to be sub par... this simply is not true. The game is absolutely breath taking and clearly a next gen title for PC. The requirements are pretty high and its worth it and more. One does not simply make a great LOTR game for next gen and not have high requirements.

Running this game on a Intel 3770k, 16gb DDR3, EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4GB SLI @ 2560 x1440 via an ASUS PG278Q with Gsync and the game runs absolutely crisp and smooth. No crashes, no issues, nothing.

I've played the game quite a bit already, and can't stop playing. The art assets are true to the movies, along with the voice acting. It feels like your inside of a Peter Jackson LOTR movie. The sounds and score to this game while not quite Howard Shore level, Garry Schyman does a great job fitting the music to the atmosphere. I find myself in awe of the level of detail even though it takes place in the dark bleak world of Mordor. The lore and story is very well done and works well with what was taken from the Similarion.

The nemesis system is adaptive and innovative. The nemesis system keeps the game fresh and brings a bit of strategy to the game, no enemy is exactly the same. They can kill their enemies or complete their personal quests to level up. They can also challenge each other to compete for ranks and position in Saurons army. I enjoy sneaking around listening to the orcs and uruks talk about various things that has happened in the area or their plans to advance.

This is a must-have for any Lord of the Rings fan. It can be difficult at first to get fighting down. One tip I'll give out. You are a ranger, and you have to fight like a ranger. Do not just charge a group of Orcs with a sword. Use your bow to thin a groups ranks first. Do not let them overwhelm you. Stun and even throw them into campfires or off cliffs. Use all of those Ranger skills and tricks to your advantage.
